BSL Dictionary

BSL Dictionary is a look up dictionary for BSL signs. It shows either static images or videos depending on what we have available and the look up is either via the alphabet or by entering a word or part of.

The static images are courtesy of British-Sign.co.uk and the videos are from the work of the BSL Signbank project at UCL.

BSL Wordsearch

BSL WordSearch is a typical WordSearch game using the BSL finger spelling alphabet instead of letters in the grid. It is intended to help with learning finger spelling. There are two versions of the game.
 
1) A standard 10x10 letter grid with words placed horizontally and vertically, forwards and backwards, up and down.
2) A 10x10 grid with the letters represented by BSL finger spell images.
 
To play, simply find the words in the list within the grid and slide your finger from the first letter to the last. If you're right, the corresponding word in the list will change colour.

Junior BSL Wordsearch

​BSL WordSearch Junior is a version of BSL WordSearch for younger players.  It uses the first 100 frequently used words, or the next 200 frequently used words, commonly used at Key Stage 1 level. As with the other apps, it is free.
